Mel B. better known as Melvin is a beauty photographer, photo retoucher, and creative influencer. Born in Atlanta, Mel’s attention to detail, creative ability, and vibrant personality inspired him to become a photography expert. Mel’s career started at the end of his high school journey interning under the established likes of Derek Blanks, Allen Cooley, and James Anthony. His eagerness to learn and obtain knowledge afforded him various opportunities to meet those he has learned from at the top.
Over the years in the business, Mel has accomplished many things including various magazine and billboard placements also being featured in Forbes Magazine, Essence Magazine, In-Style Magazine, and more. He has collaborated and gained clients such as Kierra Sheard, Tami Roman (Real World, VH1 Basketball Wives), The Clark Sisters, Eva Marcelle (America’s Next Top Model, Real Housewives of Atlanta), Kron Moore (Tyler Perry’s “The Oval”), VEDO (NBC The Voice), Reginae Carter (T.I. & Tiny), Raven Goodwin (Being Mary Jane) and many more.
Outside of his photographic ability, Mel withholds the title of creative influencer and entrepreneur. With over 10,000 combined social media followers, his duty as a creative has been informing the importance of mental health and mental stability. An advocate for mental health and growth, Mel’s focus on creative health prompted events such as his yearly Mel B. Industry Mixer which is geared towards creating mental health awareness and healthy networking skills.
